Since the age of 14, Cavetown has been creating self-produced songs that are both highly personal and touched by an offbeat imagination.

Now 22, the Cambridge-based artist known as Robin Skinner has established himself as one of the most important voices in the DIY bedroom pop scene. He’s done so without viral hits or easy gimmicks, but rather with pure heart, filling his YouTube channel and Bandcamp with a mix of covers and original music that he wrote and self-recorded in his bedroom.

With the release of his 2018 album Lemon Boy, Skinner’s understated but captivating personality invaded the internet, catapulting him as a favored collaborator with bedroom pop stars mxmtoon, Chloe Moriondo and Tessa Violet. He has also sold out major venues in the U.S. and U.K. and performed at major festivals such as Lollapalooza and Reading & Leeds
