JOSHUA BASSETT
Joshua Bassett may sing, write, act and play several instruments, but he humbly refers to himself as “a kid from San Diego who loves music.
Long before he starred in a Disney+ original series, generated millions of streams, and garnered public acclaim, he grew up surrounded by music in Oceanside, California. He played drums in church, taught himself the ukulele, guitar and piano, and wrote his first song at age 15 for his homecoming.
As well as being home schooled with his five sisters, he honed his voice in local theatre productions. Bassett landed the lead role of Ricky in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series in 2019 and soon after signed with Warner Records, unveiling his first solo album “Common Sense” in 2020.
This laid the groundwork for his 2021 breakthrough, which resulted in his self-titled debut EP, the viral hit “Feel Something” and “Crisis / Secret / Set Me Free” – a trio of moving tracks that raised money for mental health organisations, including a $20,000 donation from Bassett himself. These releases brought his total global streams to over 280 million.
His successes continue in 2022 with the release of “Doppelgänger”, his first full-length Better Nate Than Ever, as well as the announcement of his first headlining tour, which will take him to North America and Europe.
This concert, originally scheduled for 04/10/22 at Les Etoiles, will finally take place on Thursday 4 May 2023 at 8pm at Le Bataclan.
Tickets purchased for the original Les Etoiles concert remain valid.
