THE LEMON TWIGS

About

The Lemon Twigs, one of the most virtuosic and prolific bands of recent years, will be back in the indie rock spotlight this Friday 03 May with the release of their new album, 'A Dream is All We Know' (via Captured Tracks and Modulor). The D'Addario brothers will be defending this new album live on a 2024 tour that includes four French dates, including 16 September at Le Bataclan.

Following the release of 'Everything Harmony', hailed by Questlove, Iggy Pop, The Guardian and many others, The Lemon Twigs, the New York rock band led by brothers Brian and Michael D'Addario, have once again captured the attention of the music-loving public. Less than a year after the release of their last album, "A Dream Is All We Know" is a joyous event. As the title suggests, it's less a sober look at the darker side of life than a hopeful journey into the realm of dreams.
Shaped by the songwriting art of a lost era, the new album was carefully arranged and produced entirely analogue in the brothers' Brooklyn recording studio. Most of the tracks were constructed by Brian and Michael, who swapped instruments and layered all the parts themselves, with the exception of the track In The Eyes Of The Girl, co-produced by Sean Ono Lennon.

For almost a decade, critics and audiences were slow to give The Lemon Twigs the high profile they deserved. While their early albums were appreciated for their musical mastery, the brothers' later records communicated their ideas with greater clarity and emotional resonance. In other words, "it took a while to say 'rock on'".
