The team's view

For nearly fifteen years, DIIV have established themselves as the perfect balance between raw, hard-hitting rock and soaring melodies. The four New Yorkers will be crossing the Atlantic to land at Le Bataclan on 28 November, and sending out a furious live show! And just as well, they've just released a new album, providing plenty of energy and electricity. Come and put your fingers in the socket, it's going to be a blast.

About

Over the past decade, DIIV have established themselves as one of rock's most fascinating bands, exploring new textures while pushing their songcraft in a way that appeals to an ever-widening audience worldwide. They combine beauty and noise to the point of approaching a splendid universe that draws on elements of the dream-pop of My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive and Smashing Pumpkins.

Emerging from the rich Brooklyn DIY music scene of the early 2010s, DIIV quickly established themselves as one of the New York bands to watch closely, and have since expanded their aesthetic with successive albums. Over the course of three albums, they've incorporated the driving approach of British guitar pop, the minimalist structures and motoric rhythms of German psychedelia, the lush fury of metal and the sonic immersion of shoegaze into their sonic universe.

Their influence is being felt by a new generation of artists seeking their own ascension, while DIIV continues to consolidate its reputation.
