DragonForce is a leading figure in power metal. Certified platinum by the RIAA, nominated for a Grammy Award and celebrated worldwide as the fastest band on the planet, it was founded in London in 1999 by guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman. For over twenty years, the band has been redefining the conventions of heavy metal with their unique style, blistering guitar solos, epic choruses and stage performances that are as spectacular as they are technically impressive.

Today, DragonForce is entering a new era with the arrival of internationally renowned vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, who will feature on their tenth studio album as well as the band’s upcoming tours. This collaboration marks an ambitious new chapter, further broadening their musical palette whilst retaining the technical precision and intensity that characterise the DragonForce sound.

Their real breakthrough came in 2006 with the album *Inhuman Rampage* (Roadrunner/Warner), whose single ‘Through the Fire and Flames’ became a global phenomenon. Certified platinum by the RIAA, the track has racked up over 320 million streams on Spotify and more than 150 million views on YouTube. It has also entered popular culture thanks to its status as the legendary and dreaded final track in the video game *Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock*. The game sold several million copies and generated over a billion dollars in revenue, introducing DragonForce to a new generation far beyond the metal scene. The album *Inhuman Rampage* was certified gold by the RIAA and spent 23 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart.

With nine studio albums to their name, from their debut Valley of the Damned (2003) to the highly acclaimed Warp Speed Warriors (Napalm Records, 2024), DragonForce have never stopped evolving. Their 2024 album received an enthusiastic reception worldwide and propelled the band into one of the most memorable years of their career. The ensuing tour included a European co-headlining tour with Amaranthe, a US tour alongside Dethklok, and a headline performance on the main stage at Wacken Open Air in front of 110,000 spectators.

Beyond the stage, DragonForce has become a true cultural phenomenon. In 2024, ‘Through the Fire and Flames’ was featured in the trailer and the film Despicable Me 4, with the trailer notably airing during the NFL play-offs. The band also collaborated with Supercell on the track “A Draco Tale” for the game Brawl Stars. The music video climbed to number two on YouTube’s trending list and has surpassed 26 million views. The track was also performed live at the SuperFest World Championship, watched by over a million viewers online. That same year, Herman Li received the ‘God of Riffs’ award at the Metal Hammer Awards.

In 2025, DragonForce partnered with Epic Games to exclusively feature ‘Through the Fire and Flames’ at the Fortnite Festival, further cementing its influence at the intersection of music and video games. Herman Li also unveiled his PRS Chleo signature model – named best electric guitar of 2026 by Rolling Stone – as well as a collaboration with Fishman to create signature pickups.
