BOY HARSHER

Since forming in 2014, Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller have built up one of the most devoted followings on the underground scene under the name Boy Harsher. Their debut EP, *Lesser Man* — which features the cult track ‘Pain’ — was originally released as a limited-edition cassette before being uploaded to YouTube by a fan. They built on this momentum with the album *Yr Body is Nothing* (2016) and the EP *Country Girl* (2017), paving the way for the critically acclaimed album *Careful* (2019), which was critically acclaimed, as well as the project *The Runner* (2022) — both an album and a film — for which the duo wrote, produced and composed the soundtrack. Boy Harsher have continually explored new horizons at the fringes of darkwave, industrial and electro. Their signature blend of hypnotic synths, driving beats and Jae Matthews’ magnetic vocals has influenced a new generation of artists, whilst helping to propel minimal synth, EBM and dark electronic music from underground clubs onto festival stages around the world.
