The first time I heard The Band Geeks, I couldn't believe it! They sound exactly like the classic YES of the 70s, the YES I know and love... AND THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO BRING TO YOU ON THIS TOUR... YES MUSIC IS FOREVER!" - Jon Anderson
Jon Anderson is undoubtedly one of the most recognisable voices in music, as the lead singer and creator of YES. He is the author and one of the main creative architects of the groundbreaking album 'Fragile', as well as the series of epic and complex tracks such as 'Awaken', 'Gates of Delirium' and especially 'Close to the Edge', which have played a key role in the band's success. Anderson also co-wrote some of the band's biggest hits, including 'I've Seen All Good People', 'Roundabout' and 'Owner Of A Lonely Heart'. After 50 years of success in the music industry, Jon has worked with many YES bands, as well as Vangelis, Kitaro, Roine Stolt and Jean-Luc Ponty. He has released several critically acclaimed solo albums, including 'Olias of Sunhillow', 'Song of Seven', 'Animation', 'Three Ships', 'Toltec', 'Survival and Other Stories' and most recently '1000 Hands', to name but a few.
The Band Geeks started out as the resident band on the Band Geek podcast, an internet programme created by Richie Castellano (Blue Öyster Cult). The band became hugely popular on YouTube thanks to their incredibly detailed covers of songs by artists such as Queen, Toto, Black Sabbath and Yes, racking up over 30 million views.
