About

With her deep, spellbinding voice and her compositions imbued with a cinematic atmosphere, KOVACS has established herself as one of the most distinctive artists on the European music scene. Having first come to the public’s attention with her EP *My Love*, the Dutch singer has since developed a unique musical world, at the crossroads of soul, jazz, trip-hop and pop, fuelled by the influences of Betty Davis, Etta James and Portishead.
Following her acclaimed albums *Shades of Black*, *Cheap Smell* and *Child of Sin*, KOVACS has performed at international festivals such as Lowlands, Glastonbury and North Sea Jazz, winning over audiences around the world. On *Child of Sin*, she collaborated notably with Till Lindemann, the lead singer of Rammstein, as well as with a Turkish gypsy ensemble, demonstrating her constant desire to explore new musical horizons.
In 2026, KOVACS is embarking on a new artistic chapter. Inspired by early electronic sounds and Berlin industrial techno, she is evolving her sound towards more electronic soundscapes, whilst retaining the deep voice and melancholy that are her hallmark.
On 25 May 2027, KOVACS will be stopping off in Paris for a special concert at the Bataclan. A unique opportunity to discover her new musical world on stage and to rediscover one of the most fascinating voices on the European music scene.
