About

Punch Brothers return to Paris for a one-off concert at Le Bataclan on 20 January 2027!

To coincide with the release of their seventh album The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers (Nonesuch records, out 24 July 2026), Punch Brothers, the band formed in 2006 by mandolinist Chris Thile and currently featuring guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjo player Noam Pikelny and fiddler Brittany Haas, return to the stage for the Unsung European Expedition tour.

Punch Brothers have received critical acclaim, including a Grammy Award for Best Folk Album for All Ashore (2018). The Times praised their work, calling it "brilliant, bold, original and, above all, entertaining". The Financial Times points out that "the fluid way the five musicians move from one musical style to another shows how far they have moved beyond the label of 'progressive bluegrass'", confirming their reputation as forerunners of contemporary acoustic music. Their latest album, Hell on Church Street (2021), is a reinterpretation of and tribute to the late Tony Rice's iconic solo album, Church Street Blues.

The Unsung Adventures of Punch Brothers, the band's seventh album - the first to be entirely instrumental and the first with violinist Brittany Haas, who joined the quintet in 2023 - features eight new original Punch Brothers compositions as well as three traditional songs arranged by the band.
