THY ART IS MURDER have established themselves as one of the leading bands on the extreme metal scene, thanks to a rise as meteoric as humanity's seemingly inevitable descent into chaos and death.
THY ART IS MURDER offer a savage vision of Blackened Death Metal combined with intense social criticism. Their music is dark, chaotic and nihilistic, but beneath the surface it retains a sharp intelligence. Tracks like "Reign of Darkness", "Atonement", "The Purest Strain of Hate" and "Puppet Master" have become anthems for the underdog, those who dare to defy, provoke and resist the dark world around them.
With 'Godlike', released at the end of 2023, the Australians explore new depths and dynamics of sound, without sacrificing an ounce of intensity. This sixth opus is the logical next step in their ascent, consolidating THY ART IS MURDER as the torchbearers of modern Death Metal. Thematically, the songs deal with the way cycles of violence continue over time and feelings of separation.
